To achieve an even and durable result, it is important that the heat press delivers a stable temperature and consistent pressure across the entire design. Always test on a less visible area, especially when working with heat-sensitive textiles or garments with special surface treatments.

How to work with CAD-CUT® Chroma TWILL
The workflow is similar to working with other types of cuttable heat transfer vinyl:
- Create the design in your preferred design software.
- Mirror the design before cutting.
- Cut the vinyl with a suitable cutting plotter.
- Remove the excess vinyl around the design.
- Place the design on the textile with the carrier side facing up.
- Apply the vinyl at 160 °C for 12 seconds.
- Use medium pressure, corresponding to level 3–4 on a Hotronix® heat press.
- Follow the current application instructions for carrier removal.
For weeding, we recommend tools such as the EZ Weeder®, LED Weeder, LED Pin or suitable tweezers. During pressing, a Grip cover sheet or a non-stick coated cover sheet can be used to protect the design, textile and heat press.
Washing and care
Textiles decorated with CAD-CUT® Chroma TWILL can be washed at up to 40 °C. Garments should be turned inside out before washing and ironing to protect the metallic surface and preserve the vinyl’s special colour shift.
Avoid ironing directly on the front of the design. Instead, iron the garment inside out and always follow the textile manufacturer’s washing and care instructions.
