A recommended minimum line width of approximately 1.5 mm helps ensure clean cutting, reliable weeding and clearly defined edges. Very small lettering and extremely fine details should always be test cut before production, as results can vary depending on the cutting plotter, blade condition, blade angle, speed and pressure settings.
Chroma TWILL White 001 features a pressure-sensitive carrier sheet that holds individual design elements securely in position. This is particularly useful when working with lettering, numbers or graphics containing several separate elements.
After cutting the design in reverse, simply weed away the unwanted vinyl. The adhesive carrier keeps the remaining elements correctly aligned until the complete design is positioned on the garment and transferred using a heat press.
For best results, perform a small test cut before starting larger production runs and adjust the blade pressure and cutting speed to suit your machine.
For a professional and consistent transfer, apply STAHLS' CAD-CUT Chroma TWILL White 001 using the following recommended settings:
Position the weeded design on the garment with the carrier facing upwards and ensure that all elements are correctly aligned. Apply even heat and pressure across the complete design. Seams, pockets, zips, buttons or other raised areas should be kept outside the pressing area where possible, as they can prevent even contact between the platen and the garment.
After pressing, allow the design to cool before carefully removing the carrier. If an area has not bonded completely, reposition the carrier and briefly repress using a suitable protective cover sheet.

Always perform an application test on the actual garment before full production. Fabric coatings, dyes, stretch characteristics and heat sensitivity can influence adhesion and the finished appearance. Sublimated or strongly dyed polyester fabrics should also be tested for possible dye migration.
CAD-CUT Chroma TWILL is not recommended for multi-layer applications. Other heat transfer vinyl should not be pressed directly over its textured surface, and Chroma TWILL should not be applied over an existing layer of HTV.
For multicoloured designs, position the individual materials next to each other rather than overlapping them. This preserves the special Chroma TWILL surface while helping maintain reliable adhesion.
For optimum durability, allow approximately 24 hours after application before the first wash and always follow the garment manufacturer's care instructions.
