CAD-CUT® Glitter Flake is a cuttable heat transfer vinyl with glitter particles, processed using a cutting plotter and applied to textiles with a heat press. The film has a material thickness of 360 microns, giving the glitter design a clear structure and a distinctive visual finish.

Use a heat press with stable temperature and even pressure across the entire platen. It is always recommended to test the film on the chosen textile before series production, especially when working with polyester and heat-sensitive fabrics.

Efficient and user-friendly workflow

Working with STAHLS' CAD-CUT® Glitter Flake follows the standard process for cuttable heat transfer vinyl:

• Create the design in your preferred design software.
• Mirror the design before cutting.
• Carry out a test cut and adjust the cutting pressure.
• Cut the design in the film using a suitable cutting plotter.
• Remove the excess film around the design.
• Place the design on the textile with the carrier side facing up.
• Press the design at 150 °C for 10 seconds.
• Use medium pressure, corresponding to level 4–6 on Hotronix^®.
• Remove the carrier film while hot immediately after pressing.

For weeding, STAHLS' Weeder® or another suitable weeding tool is recommended. When heat pressing, a Grip cover sheet or a non-stick coated cover sheet can be used to protect the design, textile and heat press.

Washing and care

Textiles decorated with STAHLS' CAD-CUT® Glitter Flake can be washed at up to 40 °C. Always follow the garment manufacturer’s care instructions if the textile requires a lower temperature.

To protect the glitter surface, it is recommended to turn the garment inside out before washing and ironing. Avoid ironing directly on the front of the design. Instead, iron the textile from the reverse side or use a suitable protective cover sheet.
