CAD-CUT® Glimmer is a cuttable glimmer heat transfer vinyl designed for decorating textiles using a cutting plotter and heat press. The film differs from many traditional glitter films by having very fine glitter particles and a material thickness of only 260 microns.

After heat pressing, the carrier is removed while hot using Hot Peel. This means the carrier can be peeled away immediately after pressing, allowing production to continue without a long cooling time.
A stable heat press with even temperature and consistent pressure is essential for achieving a good result. It is always recommended to test the film on the chosen textile before starting larger production runs, as textile surfaces, dyes and heat resistance can vary.

Efficient and user-friendly workflow
Working with STAHLS' CAD-CUT® Glimmer follows the standard process for cuttable heat transfer vinyl:
- Create the design in your preferred design software.
- Mirror the design before cutting.
- Cut the design in the film using a cutting plotter.
- Weed away the excess film around the design.
- Place the design on the textile with the carrier side facing upwards.
- Press the design at 150 °C for 10 seconds.
- Use medium pressure corresponding to level 4–6 on Hotronix®.
- Remove the carrier hot immediately after pressing.
For weeding, you can use an EZ Weeder®, LED Weeder, LED Pin or suitable tweezers. When heat pressing, a Grip cover sheet or non-stick coated cover sheet is recommended to protect the design, textile and heat press.
Washing and care
Textiles decorated with STAHLS' CAD-CUT® Glimmer can be washed at up to 40 °C. Always follow the textile manufacturer’s care instructions if the garment requires a lower washing temperature.
To protect the glimmer surface, it is recommended to turn the garment inside out before washing. The film can be ironed, but avoid direct contact between the iron and the glimmer design. Instead, iron from the reverse side of the textile or use a protective cover sheet.
