The material can be used as the main element of a design or strategically incorporated to highlight selected lettering, outlines, numbers or graphic details.
The adhesive carrier helps keep individual elements correctly aligned after cutting and during weeding. This is particularly useful for designs containing multiple letters, numbers or separate graphic components where accurate spacing is essential.
Designs should be cut in mirror image. Cutter pressure, speed and blade depth should always be adjusted to suit the machine and blade being used. A test cut is recommended before beginning production, especially when working with small lettering or detailed artwork.
For reliable cutting and weeding, a minimum line thickness of approximately 1.5 mm is recommended. Extremely fine details should always be tested because achievable detail depends on the cutter, blade angle, blade condition and cutting settings.
After cutting the design in mirror image, remove the unwanted Chroma TWILL material so that only the required artwork remains on the adhesive carrier. Position the transfer on the garment with the carrier facing upwards and ensure all design elements are correctly aligned before pressing.
Allow the transfer to cool before carefully removing the carrier. Removing the carrier while the material is still hot may cause edges or small details to lift.
A professional heat press with consistent temperature and even pressure is recommended. Seams, buttons, pockets, zips and other raised areas can interfere with pressure, so a suitable heat press pillow may be helpful when decorating uneven garments.
CAD-CUT Chroma TWILL Silver Metallic 1911 is not designed for multilayer applications. Other heat transfer materials should not be pressed directly on top of its textured metallic surface, and Chroma TWILL should not normally be applied over another layer of HTV.
For multicoloured artwork, position individual colours next to each other rather than overlapping them. If Chroma TWILL is combined with other HTV products within the same design, follow the application instructions specified for each individual material and perform a test before larger production runs.
