Because Puff is substantially thicker than many standard HTV products, carrying out a small test cut is recommended before starting a full production run. The blade should cut completely through the vinyl without damaging the carrier underneath.
After cutting, remove the unwanted material using a weeding tool or tweezers. The adhesive carrier helps keep separate letters, numbers and design elements correctly positioned before heat application.
Place the weeded design onto the garment with the carrier facing upwards. Ensure that the transfer is correctly positioned and that seams, pockets, zips or other raised areas do not prevent even pressure.
Always test the transfer on the actual garment before beginning larger production runs. Fabric thickness, weave, coatings, temperature and pressure can influence the final height and appearance of the puff effect.
