Because the material is approximately 520 microns thick, blade pressure, cutting speed and blade depth should be adjusted to suit both the vinyl and the cutting machine being used.
The blade should cut cleanly through the puff material without cutting through the carrier. Always perform a small test cut before production, particularly when changing blades or using a new roll.

The adhesive carrier helps keep letters, numbers and separate graphic elements correctly aligned during weeding, handling and placement on the garment.

The recommended working range is approximately 150–155°C for 12–15 seconds. The exact result may vary depending on garment thickness, fabric construction, temperature accuracy and pressure, so test pressing is recommended before full production.
Avoid unnecessary repressing, as additional heat and pressure may reduce the height of the finished puff effect.
STAHLS' Puff Green 400 is not recommended for multilayer applications. Other heat transfer vinyl should not be applied directly on top of the puff material, and Puff should not normally be pressed over another HTV layer.
The raised surface does not provide a stable base for additional vinyl, while overlapping materials may also interfere with the expansion process. For multicolour artwork, create separate adjoining sections wherever possible rather than overlapping the materials.
