When applying the film to nylon, allow both the transfer and garment to cool completely before removing the carrier. The carrier must be removed cold to help ensure reliable adhesion.
Some nylon fabrics have water-resistant or dirt-repellent coatings that can affect bonding. A test press is therefore essential before decorating the final product.
The adhesive carrier makes STAHLS' Premium Plus easy to handle, even when a design contains small letters, narrow lines or multiple separate elements. The individual parts remain securely positioned while the unwanted heat transfer vinyl is removed.
Premium Plus can be cut using most standard vinyl cutters and cutting plotters. Remember to mirror the artwork before cutting. After weeding, position the design on the garment with the clear carrier facing upwards.
Premium Plus Mint 419 can be applied using either of the following settings:
Medium pressure corresponds to approximately level 4–6 on a Hotronix® heat press. On cotton, polyester and other standard recommended fabrics, remove the adhesive carrier while hot. When applying to 100% nylon, allow the garment to cool completely and remove the carrier cold.
For multi-layer designs, use short tack presses for the first layers and apply the full pressing time only to the final layer. A non-stick cover sheet can be used to protect the transfer and heat press platen.
