Fabric coatings, waterproof treatments and heat sensitivity can affect adhesion. We therefore recommend carrying out a test application before beginning larger production runs.
One of the advantages of STAHLS' Premium Plus HTV is its suitability for selected 100% nylon products. This makes it useful for decorating jackets, sports bags, teamwear and other nylon-based garments that cannot always be decorated using conventional heat transfer films.
When applying Premium Plus to nylon, allow the transfer and garment to cool completely before removing the carrier. This Cold Peel method helps ensure reliable adhesion. Always test coated or water-resistant nylon before production.
The adhesive carrier helps keep even small letters, thin lines and individual design elements securely positioned while excess vinyl is removed. Premium Plus can be cut using professional vinyl cutters and cutting plotters and is suitable for everything from small personalised orders to larger commercial garment-printing runs.
Cut the design in mirror image and weed away the unwanted material. Position the transfer on the garment with the adhesive carrier facing upwards.
Medium pressure is approximately level 4-6 on a Hotronix® heat press. For standard recommended fabrics, remove the carrier hot after pressing. When applying to 100% nylon, use Cold Peel and allow the garment to cool fully before removing the carrier.
