Some garments may contain water-repellent coatings, treatments or heat-sensitive fibres that affect adhesion. Always carry out a test application on the actual fabric before beginning a large production run.
Unlike many standard flex films, Premium Plus can also be applied to 100% nylon. This makes Deep Navy 355 suitable for nylon jackets, sports bags, team clothing, lightweight outerwear and selected promotional products.
When applying the vinyl to nylon, allow the garment and design to cool completely before carefully removing the carrier. On cotton, polyester and other recommended standard fabrics, the carrier can normally be removed hot. A test press is especially important when working with coated or water-resistant nylon.
The pressure-sensitive carrier makes CAD-CUT Premium Plus easy to work with, even when designs include small letters, narrow lines or separate elements. The adhesive carrier keeps the design securely in position while excess vinyl is removed, reducing the risk of individual details lifting or moving during weeding.
Premium Plus can be cut using most professional and hobby cutting plotters. Remember to mirror the artwork before cutting. The product is suitable for small personalised orders as well as efficient production of larger quantities.
Cut the design in reverse, weed away the excess vinyl and position the graphic on the garment with the clear carrier facing upwards. Apply using one of the following settings:
Medium pressure corresponds to approximately level 4-6 on a Hotronix® heat press. Remove the carrier hot on standard recommended fabrics. For 100% nylon, allow the design to cool completely and use Cold Peel.
For multi-layer designs, use short presses for the first layers and apply the full recommended time only to the final layer. Protect exposed vinyl with a non-stick cover sheet during pressing.
