Some textiles may contain coatings, impregnations or heat-sensitive fibres that can affect adhesion. A test application should therefore always be completed before beginning a larger production run.
Unlike many standard heat transfer films, Premium Plus can also be applied to suitable 100% nylon. This makes Cream 005 useful for decorating jackets, sports bags, teamwear, lightweight outerwear and selected accessories.
When applying the material to nylon, allow the garment and transfer to cool completely before removing the carrier. Nylon products may have water-repellent or stain-resistant coatings, so an adhesion test is essential before production.
The adhesive carrier makes Premium Plus straightforward to process with most professional vinyl cutters. It keeps small letters, thin lines and separate design elements securely in place while the excess material is removed.
Designs must be cut in mirror image. Once weeded, position the transfer on the garment with the clear carrier facing upwards. The adhesive surface helps prevent the design from moving before and during heat application.
STAHLS' CAD-CUT Premium Plus can be applied using either of the following settings:
Medium pressure corresponds to approximately level 4–6 on a Hotronix® heat press. On cotton, polyester and other standard approved fabrics, remove the adhesive carrier while hot. For 100% nylon, allow the transfer to cool fully and remove the carrier cold.
Always follow the garment manufacturer’s care and temperature instructions. Use a protective non-stick cover sheet where necessary and perform a test press before decorating valuable garments.
