Create distinctive, professional and attention-grabbing garment designs with STAHLS' Glow Heat Transfer Vinyl – Neon Green 401. This specialist glow-in-the-dark heat transfer vinyl combines a vibrant neon green appearance in normal lighting with an impressive luminous effect when the surroundings become dark. It is an excellent choice for T-shirts, hoodies, costumes, merchandise, event clothing and creative textile projects where ordinary HTV simply is not enough.
STAHLS' Glow Neon Green 401 absorbs energy from sunlight or a strong artificial light source and releases it gradually as a visible glow in darker environments. During daylight, the material offers a striking neon green colour with a modern matt finish. Once charged and moved into darkness, the design develops its characteristic glow, creating two different visual effects from one garment decoration.
Neon Green 401 heat transfer vinyl brings immediate impact to logos, names, numbers, slogans and graphic artwork. Its fluorescent-inspired green appearance works particularly well against black, navy, purple, grey and other dark garments where strong colour contrast is required. It can also be used on lighter textiles for fresh, colourful designs with an unmistakably modern character.
Use the vinyl as the main feature of your artwork or incorporate it into selected areas such as lettering, outlines, symbols and larger graphic elements. Its combination of neon colour and glow effect makes it especially suitable for creative brands and decorators wanting to offer something different from conventional garment vinyl.
STAHLS' Glow Neon Green 401 is designed to absorb light before releasing it as a visible glow when placed in darker surroundings. The strength and duration of the effect depend on the intensity of the light source, charging time and the level of darkness around the finished garment.
Direct sunlight or a powerful artificial light source will generally charge the material more effectively than weak indoor lighting. The glow is strongest shortly after charging and gradually fades until the design is exposed to light again. The material can be recharged repeatedly.
The glow effect is decorative and should not be considered a substitute for certified reflective materials, high-visibility clothing or personal protective equipment.
The distinctive appearance of STAHLS' glow-in-the-dark HTV makes it suitable for a wide range of commercial and creative applications, including:
STAHLS' Glow Neon Green 401 can be processed using standard vinyl cutters designed for heat transfer materials. Cut the artwork in reverse and always perform a test cut before production. The blade should cut cleanly through the polyurethane layer without cutting through the carrier.
A minimum line thickness of approximately 3 mm is recommended for reliable cutting and weeding. Very small lettering and extremely fine details should be tested, as achievable detail depends on the cutter, blade condition, speed and pressure settings.
The adhesive carrier helps keep individual parts of the design correctly aligned during weeding, positioning and heat application, making it particularly useful for designs containing multiple separate letters or graphic elements.
After cutting the design in reverse, weed away the excess material and position the remaining artwork on the garment with the carrier facing upwards.
For the best results, use a professional heat press capable of delivering consistent temperature and even pressure across the complete design. Seams, zips, buttons and pockets may interfere with pressure, so a suitable heat press pillow can be used where necessary.
STAHLS' Glow Neon Green 401 is suitable for:
Always test the material on the specific garment before beginning a larger production run. Fabric coatings, dyes, elasticity and heat sensitivity can affect adhesion and the final appearance. Particular care should be taken with sublimated or strongly dyed polyester fabrics.
STAHLS' Glow Heat Transfer Vinyl – Neon Green 401 gives garment decorators, print businesses, clubs, brands and creative makers an easy way to add an unusual visual effect to textile designs. Its bright neon green daytime appearance, rechargeable glow-in-the-dark effect, soft 100-micron construction and fast 10-second application make it both creative and practical for professional production.
