Seams, zips, buttons and raised areas can prevent proper contact between the heat platen, transfer vinyl and fabric. A suitable heat press pillow can help raise the application area above seams and other obstructions.
White 934 textile vinyl is suitable for 100% cotton, cotton/polyester blends and selected polyester applications. It can also be used on sublimation-dyed polyester, subject to testing. Always test the specific fabric before production, as textile coatings, fabric construction, dye systems and heat sensitivity can affect adhesion and finished results.
When applying to sublimated fabrics, special attention should be given to potential dye migration, which may affect the appearance of a white glitter design. Testing is therefore essential before beginning a larger production run.
STAHLS' Glitter Flake White 934 is not recommended for multi-layer applications. The textured glitter surface is not designed to act as a base layer for other heat transfer materials, and additional vinyl should not be applied directly over the Glitter Flake surface.
For multi-colour designs, separate colour areas should preferably be positioned next to each other without overlapping. If different types of heat transfer vinyl are used within the same design, follow the application instructions for each material and always test the complete combination before production.
To help maintain the appearance and adhesion of your white glitter heat transfer vinyl, wash decorated garments at temperatures up to 40 °C and follow the care instructions for the underlying textile. Turning garments inside out before washing and ironing can help protect the decorated surface.
