Enduramark Black Laser Marking Spray is designed to create permanent, high-contrast black markings on stainless steel and other compatible metals. Simply apply an even coating to the clean metal surface, allow it to dry, process the design with a suitable laser and wash away the unused residue with water.
The 340 g aerosol can is ready to use without dilution and is suitable for applications such as logos, serial numbers, QR codes, identification plates and personalised metal products. A minimum laser output of 20 W is required, and settings should be optimised for the specific metal and laser system before production.

Enduramark Black Laser Marking Spray is a ready-to-use aerosol coating developed for creating permanent, high-contrast black markings on metal with a laser. It is particularly effective on uncoated stainless steel and can also be used on a range of other compatible metals.
The 340 g spray can offers a convenient alternative to marking pastes because no dilution or separate spray equipment is required. Apply the coating, allow it to dry, process the design with the laser and rinse away the unused material with water.
During laser processing, the marking material bonds to the metal surface in the areas exposed to the laser beam. The result is a solid black mark rather than simply a temporary surface coating.
This makes Enduramark Black suitable for applications where clear identification and long-term durability are important, including logos, text, serial numbers, barcodes, QR codes, technical information and decorative graphics.
Enduramark Black was developed primarily for uncoated stainless steel, where it produces a strong black mark with excellent contrast. It can also be used successfully on several other metals when the laser settings are adjusted to suit the substrate.
Compatible materials include stainless steel, steel and other ferrous metals, aluminium, brass, bronze, titanium, zinc, chrome and gold plated metals. Different alloys and surface finishes can react differently, so a small test area is recommended before processing the final workpiece.
The aerosol format makes application straightforward. Unlike the paste version of Enduramark, the spray does not require dilution or additional application equipment.
Shake the can thoroughly and apply an even coating over the area to be marked. Allow the coating to dry before starting the laser process. An even layer helps produce consistent results across text, logos and detailed graphics.
Only the areas activated by the laser become permanently bonded to the metal. After processing, the unused coating can be washed away with water, revealing the finished black marking underneath.
This simple cleanup process makes the spray practical for individual customised products as well as repeated production work.
Enduramark specifies a minimum laser output of 20 watts for this marking material. The exact speed, power and resolution required will depend on the laser, metal type, alloy, material thickness and surface condition.
For that reason, there is no single universal setting for every application. Test the coating on a sample or unused area and adjust the laser parameters until the marking has developed strong adhesion and the desired appearance.
Stainless steel generally allows faster processing than aluminium, while more difficult substrates can require slower settings or higher resolution. Correct optimisation is especially important when changing between different metals or alloys.
Running the laser too quickly can result in weak adhesion, while unnecessary excess exposure can reduce production efficiency. A controlled test pattern is a useful way to establish the correct settings for a new material.
Enduramark Black markings have been tested for resistance to weather, chemicals and abrasion. This makes the material useful for both decorative applications and technical identification where the marking may be exposed to handling or environmental conditions.
Typical applications include industrial identification, machine plates, tools, stainless steel drinkware, signs, promotional products, technical components and customised metal items.
Enduramark Black is intended for metal marking and should not be treated as a universal coating for every laser material. Glass and ceramic applications require a formulation designed specifically for those surfaces.
Copper and silver-based metals are considerably more difficult to process and require significantly higher laser output and specialised settings. Testing is therefore particularly important when working outside the commonly recommended metal range.
