The Creality Space Pi Filament Dryer is designed to remove absorbed moisture from a single spool of 3D printing filament. Moist filament can contribute to problems such as stringing, inconsistent extrusion, nozzle blockages and weak layer adhesion, particularly when working with materials that readily absorb moisture from the surrounding air.
By controlling the drying temperature and duration, the Space Pi allows filament to be conditioned according to the requirements of the selected material. Its compact single spool design makes it suitable for home workshops, educational environments and everyday 3D printing setups.
The dryer uses PTC heating together with a built in fan to circulate hot air around the filament spool. This 360° airflow distributes heat throughout the enclosed chamber rather than heating the spool from only one direction.
The temperature can be adjusted between 45°C and 70°C. This range accommodates commonly used materials as well as several technical and composite filaments that require higher drying temperatures.
The touchscreen measures 3.7 inches and displays the current temperature, relative humidity and remaining drying time. This makes it easier to monitor the conditions inside the chamber without opening the dryer.
Drying time can be set from 0 to 48 hours. The appropriate duration depends on the filament material, the amount of moisture it has absorbed and the recommendations provided by its manufacturer.

The dryer can retain the selected filament type and temperature settings following a power interruption. This reduces the amount of information that must be entered again when restarting the drying process.
